It's all about having FUN!
At Christopher's House your child will enjoy a calm, relatively structured environment with plenty of activities to harness his/her creative and social endeavors. Activities like hiking, playing music, stimulation play, and more! Your child will have the opportunity to explore our Metro Parks, meet clients like themselves, and just plain be a kid!Have a "difficult" child?
Cool! Give us a call, we don't shy away from a challenge, but understand that your child should expect to be challenged by us! With all of these trails around our house, who could resist getting out of the house for a good hike? We have more energy than the average bear, and we love children with a lot of energy to spare! Our kids respect each other's boundaries and interests because we all work on the same team.
We focus a lot of effort on getting to know our children and doing what is best for their interests not our own. We spend time building communication tools and trust with our clients, we make sure our children always feel like they are part of the group.
If you or your child is uncomfortable with the idea of experiencing a new and different environment, we will provide respite at your home to gain trust. Eventually, when your child feels comfortable with our staff, and our staff understands your child, they can give our house another try and become part of our team. This has certainly been a tried and true approach. Give us a call, we'll tell you all about it!
